Jewelry and Faceted Gems
Where Science Meets Sparkle.
This sunstone features fine copper inclusions that create a distinct metallic shimmer, known as schiller. Cut in a clean rectangular pattern, the stone displays a warm pink tone rather than the more typical golden hue. Under light, the copper reflections move across the surface like trails of shooting stars, giving the gem both depth and subtle brilliance.
Roughly 1.5ct sunstone, emerald glitter cut.

Inspiration
Oregon’s sunstones are born from ancient volcanic flows. Their copper inclusions catch the light like distant stars — a reminder of how beauty and geology meet beneath the surface.

Small mystery container that disintegrates when thrown at the ground. Smashing/opening it reveals a random gem inside. Gem type, size, and quality vary and can be anywhere from rough stone to cut a polished gem.
Oregon Sunstone with a beautiful shimmering square cut, roughly two carats.
Oregon Sunstone, circular cut, roughly one carat. This stone was cut from a “watermelon” sunstone. The rare red and green sunstone unfortunately contained a flaw and this stone as well as a Bright Red Rare faceted sunstone were what could be salvaged for a high value clean cut. This stone has a deep orange appearance and some striking copper Schiller flashes through the center.
